General Information

Welcome

I welcome anyone to join me at the "Sunburn Six in the Stix" 6-hour fun run. Whether you're interested in beefing up your tan, getting in a few "sun" miles, heat training for some official event, or just wanting to run through 3 counties (Cook, DuPage, and Kane) this will be the day to do it and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow runners.

Since this is not an official event, there is no official registration and no formal liability waiver; however, the cap of our fun run is limited to the first 75 runners. There is not a fee associated with this run, but I am asking for an optional $2-$3 donation that will be applied towards the reservation of the pavilion at the park. This will just let us have a place to put our gear without having to worry about other parties taking over.

There are absolutely no obligations, but if you do decide to donate, you may pay me through my paypal account at briangaines1972@gmail.com or in person when you arrive; however, I won't hound you for it. Just know that any extra money will be applied towards ice that I bring and the post-run lunch at Nest Cafe. I'm not looking to make a profit from this. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Participate at your own risk. Don't push yourself too hard. Eat, drink, protect yourself from the elements, and seek medical attention when necessary.

I will be out there running for 6 hours starting at 7:30 am. You are welcome to join me for all six, for three, or for one. Remember, this is a self-supported fun run. Bring all the food, drink, and supplies you think you'll need. I look forward to seeing you there.

I ask that you please abide by all James 'Pate' Philip Park rules.
